On behalf of COAR Asia OA, we would like to invite you and your colleagues in Indonesia to a webinar, to discuss the opportunities and challenges of adopting good practices in repositories. Good practices enable repositories to support community needs, such as collecting content in local languages, while at the same time, enabling the widespread interoperability required for international visibility.
Date: November 21, 2023
Time: 6:00-8:00 UTC (1:00pm Medan, Indonesia time)
This 2-hour webinar will include presentations about two COAR recommendations, followed by an interactive discussion with participants.
Introduction to the COAR Community Framework for Best Practices in Repositories - Kathleen Shearer
Presentation of the COAR Community Framework Version 2 Self-Assessment Tool - Su Nee Goh and Masashi Kawai
Presentation of the Good Practice Advice for Managing Multilingual and non-English Language Content in Repositories - Iryna Kuchma
You are welcome to take a self-assessment of your repository using the self assessment tool (https://bit.ly/CCFasia) that has been developed by our colleagues Masashi Kawai and Su Nee Goh in advance of the webinar. This will allow you to identify any specific challenges you may have with implementing some of these practices.
The webinar is free of charge.
