Duties and Responsibilities

This position is under the overall guidance of NPM of CIWT and supports for the National Project Director in Directorate General Law Of Enforcement Ministry Of Environment And Forestry as a safeguard.

Summary of Key Functions:

    Support to formulation and implementation of communications and advocacy strategies, support to business development
    Support to implementation of the CO publications policy
    Maintenance of websites, databases and knowledge management systems
    Facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing

Education:

    A Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relation journalism, media, design or other relevant fields of study or other related majors would be highly desirable although it is not mandatory, OR High school degree with 7 years of relevant experience will be given due consideration in lieu of Bachelor degree

Experience:

    A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 4 years of professional experience in communications, public relations and administration.
    Minimum 7 years of professional experience for candidate with high school degree or 4 years of professional experience for candidate with bachelor degree in the field of in communications, public relation journalism, media, design or other relevant field
    Experience in project monitoring and evaluation;
    Professional experience working on issues in environment, forestry, and illegal wildlife projects in Indonesia;
    Experience in project monitoring and evaluation;
    Experience working on communications and publications related to environment and forestry field will be an advantage;
    Experience in handling of web-based management system and scheduling social media output is preferred;
    Have experience in stakeholder engagement with sub national governments and relevant parties related environment and forestry; especially in law enforcement issue
    Professional experience working on issues in environment, forestry, and illegal wildlife projects in Indonesia;
    Experience working on communications and publications related to environment and forestry field will be an advantage;
    Experience in handling of web-based management system and scheduling social media output is preferred;
    Knowledge of ‘gender’ topics and issues in environment and forestry will be desirable

Language Requirements:

Fluency in the UN and national language of the duty station
